About me

I am a front end web developer living in North East England. With over 3 years experience as a front end developer with a large building society, I have a range of development skills including hand coding web standard (X)HTML from PSDs with cross browser css, accessibility and design.

I am currently employed by Newcastle Building Society as a web developer. My main focus is branding Newcastle's white label internet banking system for several major financial institutions including the Newcastle themselves. I build and maintain (and sometimes design) a range of marketing websites for the Newcastle and a few of the third parties. I am also the web standards and accessibility 'consultant' for the .net developers ensuring the systems we build are standards compliant, accessible, usable  and compatible for a range of user agents.

To keep me up to date in the world of web development I frequent several blogs and regularly attend conferences such as DIBI and SuperMondays. I occasionally work on personal and freelance projects, a few of which are listed in my portfolio, learning new skills on the way.
